A Mechanical Masterpiece from the Past

Built in the 1960s, the steam locomotive, one of only two remaining operational steam engines in Vietnam, has been lovingly restored by the skilled engineers of Vietnam Railways. It will pull two vintage passenger carriages, each with a capacity of 57 guests, along with a dedicated kitchen car and a separate luggage car.

A Heritage Journey Amidst Mountains and Sea

The “Revolution Express” will operate daily between Da Nang and Hue, taking passengers through the majestic Hai Van Pass, with a stop at the picturesque Lang Co station. On board, guests will be immersed in a classic ambiance, enjoying fine dining and professional service while marveling at the breathtaking beauty of one of Southeast Asia’s most scenic rail routes.

Culinary Delights and Onboard Entertainment

Adding to the allure of the “Revolution Express” journey will be themed dining experiences at the three stations: Kim Lien (Da Nang), Lang Co, and Hue. Each station will feature a unique menu and entertainment program to welcome passengers.

Notably, these stations will also cater to all road and Vietnam Railways passengers traveling between Da Nang, Lang Co, and Hue along the scenic coastal route.

Distinctive Station Architecture

In Hue, the former train maintenance building is being transformed into a royal-themed restaurant, echoing the grandeur and history of the former imperial capital.

The restaurant at Lang Co will embrace Vietnam’s post-independence era, featuring a diverse culinary experience and carts serving ice cream, juices, coffee, and sugarcane juice on the station platform.

The third restaurant, at Da Nang’s suburban station, is envisioned to reflect the colonial era, showcasing another facet of the nation’s history.

An Unforgettable “Revolution Express” Experience

As the train pulls into each station, passengers will be greeted by live music and staff dressed in military uniforms, adding to the unique and memorable experience.

As Vietnam’s only private railway operator, the “Revolution Express” promises to deliver a heritage travel experience that is both distinctive and world-class.
